Donor's Choose 2018

Donor's Choose is a non-profit that has supported classrooms since 2000. According to their website, "DonorsChoose.org makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you."

For my very first Donor's Choose project ever, I wanted something that would greatly benefit the students. I realized that while our classroom is great, we lack flexible seating options. For this project, we were fully funded for six ottoman seats, a whiteboard kidney table, and six wobble stools. Students now have more options for their seating in our classroom. Thanks Donors!

Little Red Schoolhouse 2018

On Tuesday, May 8th we were transported back in time 177 years to experience life in a one room Schoolhouse in 1842. Our schoolmarm, Mrs. Fineman, lead our class through lessons in reading, writing, and arithmetic. It was great fun to see the differences in school from now and then!
