Meet the Teacher 2019

Hi, I'm Mrs. Lomando, and I am your fourth grade teacher! This year will be my twelfth year teaching at MP, where I have taught fourth grade for eleven of the twelve years. I love fourth grade and all the learning, accountability, and responsibility that students will encounter!

I enjoy teaching because I enjoy learning. I have undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education, History, and Political Science, and a master's degree in Educational Administration. I love to teach all subjects, especially Social Studies!

I live with my husband, my son, my daughter, and my cat in Nashua. I love to visit lots of places with my family. This summer we went to the beach, Lake Winnipesaukee, and all around the state of New Hampshire. Check out some of the pictures from our summer adventures below.  If you want to see more of our summer adventures, check out my pictures at MrsLomando over on Instagram.

If I get a chance to relax, I love to pick up a good book and read fiction or nonfiction. I am so excited to learn what you like to read during Reading Workshop time in the school day, and I look forward to helping you find even more great books to enjoy!

It is so important to me to keep the lines of communication open between school and home. The easiest and quickest way to get in contact with me is via email. I am also available to speak on the phone or in person before or after school. If you tweet, follow me on Twitter @MrsLomando for updates on what is going on in our classroom in 140 characters or less. I look forward to a great school year!

Pack Monadnock 2019

We had so much fun hiking Pack Monadnock on Thursday, June 6th! Since it rained pretty hard the night before and morning of, the park ranger suggested that we go up and down the Marion David Trail. It was great advice, and even though it was muddy and wet, we all had a wonderful time!
